Thirty-eight years ago I made my first trip to Eleuthera with my fiancée, Lynnie, and her family. We stayed at the old Rock Sound Club north of Rock Sound. At the time the Rock Sound Club, Winding Bay Club and Cotton Bay Club were all owned by South Eleuthera Properties. It was pre-Independence (1973) and these clubs were world class resort destinations.
Little did I know then that 38 years later I’d be making (next week) what must by my 100th trip, to my own home on Winding Bay, Point o’ Vue, to spend a few weeks with Lynnie and welcome my daughter, Darby, and her husband, Todd, and their 9 month old daughter, Avery. It will be Avery’s first trip.
Darby and Todd were married on Eleuthera in May of 2007. More on that later…..
